It also features a durable Stainless Steel Frame behind the ABS Polymer American Flag print scales which provides a slim lightweight grip and a sleek look that blends proudly displays the American Spirit. The spring assisted knife, in contrast to a standard automatic switchblade knife, is not opened by pressing an activating button (the button is what gets an automatic knife classified as illegal in some municipalities.) , it is opened by using the index-open "flipper", which creates a hand guard when it is open.

To summarize the internal spring featured in this knife assists and finishes the opening process once the index flipper is pushed. That's right!!! Once the blade has reached a 30-40 degree angle, it automatically slams open the rest of the way with the force of a switchblade!!!
