Hawkbill / Karambit Blades
The tiger claw is believed to be the inspiration behind the creation of the hawkbill or karambit blade.  It consists of single, double, or even triple edged crescent curved blade that continues into a curved handle.  Most modern karambit knives contain a finger guard which make it difficult to dislodge from the hand while maximizing maneuverability and grip.  This blade type excels at cutting zip ties, rope, and at many other common everyday tasks making it great not only in a tactical situation but also as an EDC (everyday carry).
