Wharncliffe Blade Design Picture
The Wharncliffe design which dates back into the mid 1800s has a spine that either gradually tapers to form a Piercing Point or can also have a straight spine with a 45 -60 degree drop off towards the edge of the blade.  They key point and what separates these blades from a similarly designed Sheepsfoot / Cleaver Blade is that the Wharncliffe still has a Piercing Point at the end of the blade creating versatile design that's great as an EDC ( Everyday Carry ).  Besides the the thin Piercing Point of this blade it also Maximizes the length of its Cutting Surface Area via an Elongated Straight Edge.
